Well of course.
Over there at Fox News, the well-respected Fox legal analyst Greg Jarrett is headlining this: “Trump was framed by the Russia collusion hoax. Now the whole story is exposed.” (RELATED: The Spectacle Ep. 388: The TRUTH of the Trump-Russia Collusion Hoax: Drew Allen Explains)

Greg is alerting Fox viewers as follows to a Fox three-part documentary series that started airing on October 12: “Russia! Russia! Russia! The Plot to Stop Trump.”
He writes: “It was the dirtiest trick ever perpetrated in politics that produced the greatest mass delusion in American history. It was a faux scandal and an epic con job, corrupt from the outset.”
This column is being written shortly before the three-part documentary airs. Tellingly Greg writes:
The damning narrative that Donald Trump somehow colluded with Russia to steal the 2016 presidential election you’ll recall, consumed the media landscape for more than two years and dominated political discourse. It nearly brought down a duly elected president.
So stunning was the abuse of power that this series must be seen to be believed. It is based on troves of recently disclosed government records and other declassified documents.
Bingo!
A very real question arising from this whole ugly episode in recent American political history is what does this story say about the state of both the Democrat Party and the media? (RELATED: Hillary and Obama Out-McCarthied McCarthy)
Particularly in terms of the media, it is nothing short of appalling to understand that whole sections of the media were going out of their way to spread and defend what was decidedly a hoax. A phony story that was spread and defended in order to overturn the winner of a presidential election. And to do so on grounds that were no more than that the media could not abide political outsider Trump. (RELATED: The Historic Roots of Russiagate)
Another question here is how will this affect future elections, whether at the presidential level or in other races around the country? Not to mention will there be media figures out there — known and unknown to the American public — who will propagate or push false stories to bring down this or that elected official they don’t like?

American history has had no shortage of controversial elections and the results they have produced. In the long ago of 1960, a full 66 years ago, the final results of the famous election showdown between Democrat Senator John F. Kennedy and Republican Vice President Richard Nixon were so close that Nixon, for one, would go to his grave convinced Chicago’s Democrat Mayor (and political boss!) Richard Daley had helped steal the electoral votes of Illinois to put JFK over the top.
Looking even further back one finds the 1948 Texas election for a seat in the U.S. Senate, with Democrat Congressman Lyndon Johnson famously winning (it was insisted by the LBJ side!) by 87 votes. Quickly giving LBJ the nickname in political circles of “Landslide Lyndon.” Doubtless in America’s 250 year history there have been other elections engulfed with charges of an election that was not conducted on the up and up.
But the 2016 presidential election and the charges of Russian participation in an American presidential election stands out with its unique circumstances. Not to mention that the accusation that one of the perpetrators of the Russia hoax was the Democrats own nominee, Hillary Clinton. (RELATED: Five Quick Things: The Long Overdue Russiagate Reckoning)
With all of this story (hopefully!) now out in the open in the Fox three-part special, one would hope in particular that the leaders of today’s Republican Party will make certain as they move forward that election tomfoolery will be receiving a very close eye, with machinery in place to make sure history like 2016 does not repeat. Safe to say the Trump base will be watching.
In 2028, the next presidential election will be filled with anti-Trump Democrats and liberals. There is no rocket science involved in understanding that Democrat leaders cannot abide President Trump. And while the president can’t run again, it is safe to say that whomever the GOP nominee will be, he will be targeted by Democrats as the Trump heir.
With the media aiding and abetting the Democrats, fueling their contempt for the president and his decidedly strong base of supporters.
And safe to say, if, as is now recorded history, the media was all too willing to propagate and push the 2016 Russia! Russia! Russia! hoax, they will view 2028 not just as the end the Trump era but as the moment to depict whomever is chosen as his successor in their best anti-Trump fashion.
With the 2026 midterms almost over, the 2028 election is about to begin. So as is said on occasion in this space?
