A note from the 5QT: this is the second of a five-part series which won’t just appear in the space where the Five Quick Things appears; we’ll have Parts 3 and 4 in regular columns next week. But in the run-up to the midterm election cycle everybody is so concerned about, your author notices that the problems the nation is tearing itself apart over really boil down to five categories of miseries, buckets this series aims to at least partially empty and pick over.

In our first installment last week, we examined feminism and the damage we’ve allowed under its ambit when we could have chosen otherwise. Similarly, in this episode we put our microscope on the encroachment of Mohammed into our society. (RELATED: The 5QT Presents: The Five Black Pills, Part 1 — Feminism)
Earlier this week, a very interesting announcement popped out, which Joshua Monnington from The Federalist provided coverage of…
Several conservative groups are launching a coalition to safeguard America’s “constitutional order” from the rising tide of Islam and its left-wing political allies, The Federalist has learned. The newly formed Alliance for Islamic Remigration, announced Wednesday, will develop legislation and legal strategies to address the Islamification of culture in the United States, while educating Americans on one of the most pressing cultural and political issues of the day.
The Center for Renewing America, the American Accountability Foundation, and the American Strategy Group formed the alliance to “shin[e] a light on the forces working to destroy American culture, erase Western understandings of human freedom, and eradicate the constitutional order that protects both,” according to a press release announcing the alliance. Wade Miller (executive director, Center for Renewing America), Tom Jones (president, American Accountability Foundation), and Brian Kennedy (president, American Strategy Group) released a statement outlining the group’s purpose and the issues it seeks to address.
“Islam’s growing presence in the United States is a scaled threat to Western civilization and to the high-trust Christian culture liberty requires,” the leaders said. “It is a political ideology of total control whose core tenet is conquest of non-believers through institutional capture, social pressure, intimidation, and violence. The 3,000-plus mosques here function as outposts of that project.” The statement went on to sum up the new initiative’s mission: “The Alliance for Islamic Remigration will work to educate Americans on the daily instances of the radicalization of mainstream Islam within America, its alliance with Marxists/Communists, while uplifting those in the movement who are already exposing this problem, and while we work towards legislative and legal remedies.”
The Alliance for Islamic Remigration is a great idea 25 years overdue. It should have been put into being immediately after Sep. 11, 2001, when it became clear that a large community of unassimilated Muslims in which jihadist terrorists could hide and from which those terrorists could find support and succor was a deadly mistake. Three weeks ago, when we passed the quarter-century mark after 9/11, I wrote a post at The Hayride noting that for as much heroism and effort as we had expended in responding to the terrorist attacks on the pillars of our commerce, military might, and republican form of government (remember that Flight 93 was to have terminated in a ball of flame where our Capitol currently stands), it doesn’t really feel like we beat the terrorists after all…
They won because our leadership missed the opportunity to see 9/11 for what it was. It was an attack by one civilization against another. Non-state actors, to be sure, though there were people within the Saudi government who helped them, but Osama bin Laden’s minions who perpetrated 9/11 were civilizational actors.
They might have been deranged lunatics, but they were lunatics following the dogma of a very well-established religious and political philosophy which has existed on this planet for more than 1400 years. Islam commands its followers to kill and intimidate infidels until there are no more infidels, and bin Laden’s plan was to strike down the most prominent symbols of America’s commercial, military and political power. But for the heroic Americans on Flight 93 who saved the Capitol by storming the cockpit and killing the hijackers, they would have succeeded in all three – though most of the Pentagon survived the attack and was quickly rebuilt.
And in the days following 9/11, we papered over what really happened. We never elevated the discussion to the level it belonged.
9/11 should have resulted in a national – international – boycott of Middle Eastern oil. It should have resulted in a massive about-face of U.S. energy policy toward nuclear power. It should have resulted in alternative methods of making motor fuel; that can be done with natural gas and coal, but isn’t.
We should have pulled out of the Middle East. Not just militarily; culturally and commercially. The result of 9/11 should have been that we cut Islam off from the benefits of Western civilization and embarked on a plan to force it to wither and die.
To go to Afghanistan and punish the Taliban for harboring al-Qaeda? Of course. Install the Northern Alliance in power in Kabul.
And then that’s it.
We didn’t shut down a single mosque in this country. We should have shut them all down and kicked every single non-citizen Muslim out of the country. Thomas Jefferson, faced as president with the problem of the Barbary pirates capturing American ships on the high seas and enslaving their crews, and told that this was being done in pursuance of Islamic jihad, read the Quran.

And then he declared war on the Barbary pirates, because he knew what he was up against. Two hundred years later, our government officials lied to us and told us that Islam was the Religion of Peace.
While they passed the Patriot Act and gave us the TSA.
It was an uncomfortable post to write. Nobody likes admitting these things. But while yesterday’s column decrying New York’s jihad against Louisiana’s unborn was written with tongue in cheek, it’s nonetheless unmistakable that New York, which was the one place where Islam should have received the rudest reception following the Sep. 11 attacks, has surrendered most thoroughly to the dogma of the perpetrators. Zohran Mamdani is the mayor of New York City, after all. In the Bronx, they’re about to elect Darializa Avila Chevalier to Congress — she’s a Dominican communist perpetual college student who converted to Islam in 2018. And Kathy Hochul, New York’s governor, now has a hijab she’ll deploy and wear when she’s making the rounds at the local mosques. And in Michigan, which was to be another target of a jihadist terror attack — remember Richard Reid, the shoe bomber? — towns like Dearborn and Hamtramck have been overtaken by Islamic political majorities now clamoring for sharia law. This has risen to such a high profile that a radical Palestinian communist named Rashida Tlaib is one of the state’s congressional delegation, and Abdul El-Sayed, the son of a high CAIR official who has admitted his allegiance to sharia law trumps all — presumably over and above the U.S. Constitution, giving rise to concerns about how he could possibly take the oath of office — is the Democrats’ nominee for the Senate. Everything that has happened in America since 9/11 with respect to Muslim immigration, the growth of unassimilated Muslim communities, and the burgeoning of radical, tribal Muslim politics creating a power base for left-wing political parties to exploit, had already happened in the preceding 25 years in Europe. We had 9/11 as the strongest possible signal that we needed to put a stop to it, and we did nothing. (RELATED: The Marxist-Islamist Alliance Feeds On DSA Naïveté)
We didn’t take Thomas Jefferson’s advice after 9/11. We didn’t make a study of the enemy and act accordingly. We pretended the enemy was something other than he was, and we declared war on a straw man. (RELATED: The Questions We Must Ask About Islam)
The Trump administration just pulled the last of the U.S. troops out of Iraq after 23 years, an orderly dismantling of an ill-advised mission. And the administration also announced that it has curtailed Islamic migration into this country by some 96 percent. These are good things.
But more than 25 years after 9/11, we still can’t summon the national will to ban sharia law in America (some states have made efforts at this; Congress has not). We’ve not passed major immigration policy orienting America in a Western posture. We’ve done little to nothing about CAIR, which is to Hamas what Sinn Féin was to the Irish Republican Army. We’ve done nothing about jihadist mosques, which are foreign-funded centers of foreign influence where the ideological defenses of jihadist terrorism are commonly laid down in front of the congregants. (RELATED: The West Is a Superior Civilization (And I Don’t Care If That Offends You))
We’ve pretended that Islam is the Religion of Peace, when in fact it is the political religion of submission by its own taxonomy. That fact alone makes it incompatible with our society.
In Europe, encroaching Islam makes pandering to the unassimilated part of the job description for left-wing politicians who sell their nations down the river. This has already begun here. The American Left is busily submitting itself to domination by the ummah, often with absurd results. Kathy Hochul’s hijab is a mild surrender compared to Queers For Palestine, after all. (RELATED: The Unfathomable Horror of Britain’s Rape-Gang Holocaust)
And Queers For Palestine makes sense in only one context, which turns out to be the larger problem our descent into Muslim domination is but a symptom of — that being a self-hatred among Americans of a particular set of preferences and fetishes which is as performative as it is passionate.
That self-hatred insists on turning America into a Third World country, by importing not just the people of the Third World but its values. Bringing Palestinians here brings the Palestinian vendetta against Jews and the West, after all, and now many of our college campuses might as well be Rafah.
The problem is one of will. It is not complicated to solve. Either we recognize that encroaching Islam will erode our own quality of life and punish the politicians who impose it on us, or we suffer the consequences of dhimmitude as New Yorkers increasingly do.
What’s it going to be, America? Nothing is inevitable unless you allow it to be.
