I often cite the famous quote from my late mentor Andrew Breitbart that politics is downstream from culture, because it has proven so true. But not this year. In three weeks, politics can help save the culture from more leftist rot. A vote to repel the Marxist Democrats at the ballot box November 3rd is a vote to dispel the utter garbage their acolyte storytellers have been passing as art, and shut them up for a while in the bargain. Dropping liberal movie bomb after bomb on the public clearly hasn’t stopped them or slowed them down. Now we can do the latter.

We inherited the fading bitter liberal domestic stars such as Phoenix…. But who the heck are these foreign imports to malign the United States of America?
The latest example is this weekend’s The Social Reckoning, amazingly a worse box-office disaster than last week’s Digger. Even the few people who attended Alejandro Iñárritu’s anti-conservative-Christian screed pushing the climate change hoax stayed away from Aaron Sorkin’s January 6 delusion targeting the same group. Reckoning opened with a miserable six million dollars, short of Digger’s catastrophic $8 million dollar debut.
Sorkin’s absurd concept that Mark Zuckerberg facilitated the faux MAGA “Insurrection” is ridiculous on its Facebook. Sorkin based his movie on 2021 leaks by former Facebook product manager Frances Haugen (played by Mikey Madison) to Wall Street Journal reporter Jeff Horwitz (Jeremy Allen White). The data implied that Facebook’s algorithm amplified right-wing content, allowing the extremism that led to January 6th. As usual with progressive entertainment media, the truth is exactly the opposite.
Facebook began quashing the biggest Biden scandal the same day it came out, October 14, 2020. Through 2021, the social media giant reduced access to the New York Post story on the Hunter Biden laptop, and supported the Democratic Russian disinformation canard. For the whole year prior, it had banned people for “misgendering” “trans” persons, weakening a Republican electoral argument. Zuckerberg himself subsequently admitted the mistake, partly blaming the anti-Trump Deep State.
“I believe the government pressure was wrong, and I regret that we were not more outspoken about it,” Zuckerberg wrote in a 2024 letter to House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan, conveniently after the Republicans took control of the House. “I also think we made some choices that, with the benefit of hindsight and new information, we wouldn’t make today.” Specific to the Hunter laptop reaction, Zuckerberg wrote, “It’s since been made clear that the reporting was not Russian disinformation, and in retrospect, we shouldn’t have demoted the story.”
All this historical reality, Sorkin totally ignored in order to make his anti-Trump/MAGA point. And Hollywoood enabled him, releasing this artistic “bombshell” less than a month before the election to slap down the Republicans. That its decision makers couldn’t see the actual bomb within the shell, which was certain to explode on them, is rather amusing. Especially right after Sorkin’s bungling of the fascinating Lucille Ball-Desi Arnaz story with Being the Ricardos.
Even funnier is that other critically respected “auteurs” (though not by me) like Iñárritu, Sorkin, Paul Thomas Anderson (One Battle After Another — anti-white Christians), Ari Aster (Eddington — anti-COVID skeptics in 2025!), Luca Guadagnino (After the Hunt — pro-Me Too), and Tom McCarthy (A Statement — pro-Climate Change alarmism) thought they were elevating their careers with these virtue-signaling pictures. Yet every one of them flopped badly, taking leftwing name actors Joaquin Phoenix, Julia Roberts, Leonardo DiCaprio, Sean Penn, Emma Stone, and fake star Pedro Pascal down with them. Of course, hardest hit was former conservative favorite Tom Cruise, who alienated half of his audience with Digger. Good thing he has Top Gun 3 to fall back on and try to win it back.

All the others have outspoken contempt for conservatives. We inherited the fading bitter liberal domestic stars such as Phoenix, Roberts, Penn, and Robert DeNiro, whom TDS has turned into a sad caricature of his former self. But who the heck are these foreign imports to malign the United States of America? Every movie Pedro Pascal had been in has flopped, further damaging franchises like the MCU (The Fantastic Four: First Steps), Star Wars (The Mandalorian and Grogu), and Gladiator (Gladiator II). Yet Pascal feels entitled to slam Trump and his American supporters as he did in Cannes promoting the Eddington timebomb.
“F__k the people that try to make you scared and fight back.… I want people to be safe and to be protected, and I want very much to live on the right side of history. I’m an immigrant. My parents are refugees from Chile. We fled a dictatorship.” Fortunately, Chile just agreed with Pascal about the right side of history, electing Trump-endorsed hardline conservative José Antonio Kast as President.
The same goes for Luca Guadagnino, following his failure with the college sexual harassment movie After the Hunt. “The problem is the damage that Trump is creating to the rule of law, to the social and moral fabric of the country,” Guadagnino said on Italian television. And if anyone would know about the moral fabric of the United States, it would be a gay Italian (maybe ex-) communist.
The Trump-deranged artistes best hope is that the Democrats take over Congress, giving them a lifeline to continue doing the one thing they know how to do, bash conservatives, even though they clearly don’t. I’m convinced enough Americans will repel them in three weeks, as they have their movies.
