D<\/span>emocrats have responded to the release this month of former First Lady Jill Biden\u2019s memoir, View From the East Wing<\/em>, with great anger over how it has revived in the public consciousness all the worst memories of the cognitively addled President Joe Biden\u2019s idiotic campaign for the White House.<\/p>\n

Time<\/em>, which sympathetically interviewed the former first lady about the backlash, said Democrats have \u201clambasted\u201d Jill over her memoir. And former White House spokesman Andrew Bates, formerly ever-loyal to the Bidens, said\u00a0he didn\u2019t see \u201cwhy that painful conversation for the party needed to be publicly reopened right now.\u201d<\/p>\n

This week, another former first lady added her voice to the mixture.<\/p>\n

Joe Biden, said Hillary Clinton, made \u201ca terrible mistake\u201d by running for president in 2024. She drove home the dagger. Virtually \u201canybody else,\u201d Hillary said, would have beaten Trump.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe made a terrible mistake for himself, his legacy and for the country,\u201d she told New Yorker<\/em>\u00a0editor David Remnick.<\/p>\n

Whichever candidate emerged from a primary, \u201cwhether it was the vice president, or a governor, or a senator, or anybody else,\u201d Hillary said, \u201cwould have beaten Donald Trump.\u201d<\/p>\n

Now Hillary didn\u2019t go after Jill Biden by name. But coming, as this tirade did, upon the release of Jill Biden\u2019s book and the backlash to it, Hillary might as well have declared her outrage for Jill\u2019s enablement of her cognitively deficient husband, as well as her disbelief in Jill\u2019s claims in her memoir that Joe always acted entirely differently than he did on that debate stage in Atlanta.<\/p>\n

In her interview with Time<\/em>, Jill said her reaction to the debate was to be \u201cscared to death.\u201d She explained that she thought, \u201cOh my God, what\u2019s happening? Is this a stroke?\u201d But she \u201cknew he was fine\u201d once she talked to Joe after the debate.<\/p>\n

In her book, Jill writes that she wondered if Joe had \u201cbeen drugged\u201d and that she worried \u201cOh God \u2014 will people watching assume that this is how he is all the time?\u201d<\/p>\n

However, Jill spends little time in her memoir backing up this assertion that Joe\u2019s debate performance was a deviation from the norm. She simply writes that the notion that there was a coverup of Joe\u2019s health condition is \u201cabsurd.\u201d<\/p>\n

This brings up the other health controversy surrounding Joe Biden: his diagnosis with stage IV prostate cancer that had metastasized to his bones four months after he left office. Many have asked how this could have possibly been missed in someone as closely watched by doctors as the president the United States. Making matters more inexplicable, Jill writes in her book of how one night in the last year of his presidency Joe woke up seven times to use the bathroom. Yet she maintains that nothing having to do with his stage IV cancer was ever detected by doctors during his presidency.<\/p>\n

We do get a window in the book into just how bad the cancer is and how difficult the treatment is. \u201cProstate cancer was one thing, but the metastasis turned it into something infinitely worse,\u201d she says. Jill adds that the hormone pills to treat Joe\u2019s cancer cause \u201cserious side effects,\u201d especially fatigue and moodiness.<\/p>\n

The cancer reads as all-out validation that a run for a second term was absolute insanity, yet Jill does nothing to acknowledge this. Instead, she acts as though Joe only dropped out of the race because Democrats made him, and not because it was the right thing to do. Her husband, Jill says, told her of his decision, \u201cJilly, I had no choice.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jill\u2019s excuses, misdirection, and refusal to contemplate her fault for hiding her husband\u2019s cognitive deterioration from America have so fed up Democrats that even Hillary is seeing fit to come out of the woodwork to publicly denounce Biden\u2019s reelection campaign.<\/p>\n

If Jill thought this memoir would help her husband\u2019s legacy, she was entirely wrong. All it has done is unite Democrats in concluding that the Biden \u201clegacy\u201d should be in the dumpster.<\/p>\n
