S<\/span>o there was President Trump in the heart of North Carolina, campaigning for Republican U.S. Senate candidate Michael Whatley. Said the president to his audience, \u201cI\u2019m asking you to pretend that I\u2019m on the ballot. I\u2019m on the ballot just one more time.\u201d<\/p>\n

Whatley is, of course, very much on the GOP ballot in North Carolina, running hard and fast against Roy Cooper, the Democrat and former two-term governor.<\/p>\n

President Trump is, as expected, campaigning hard for both Whatley and GOP candidates across the country.<\/p>\n

But there is more going on in the 2026 midterms. That something more would be about the far-left takeover of the Democrat Party and remaking it as a veritable antisemitic version of an American Communist Party.\u00a0(RELATED: After We Laugh, We Must Treat DSA Program As Deadly Serious)<\/strong><\/p>\n

Notably, in Michigan the Democrats have chosen to anoint one Abdulrahman Mohamed El-Sayed as their candidate for the U.S. Senate. To classify El-Sayed as \u201cfar left\u201d would be to understate. In a typical reaction to his nomination, there was this in\u00a0USA Today<\/i>: \u201cEl-Sayed, a fierce critic of Israel, has called the Israeli government \u2018evil.\u2019\u201d\u00a0(RELATED: Michigan AG Dana Nessel to Jewish Democrats: Sacrifice Yourself for the Cause)<\/strong><\/p>\n

And why would any candidate do that? Because \u2014 the obvious answer \u2014 candidate El-Sayed has a considerable record of blatant antisemitism.\u00a0(RELATED: Abdul El-Sayed Rewrites the Meaning of \u2018Democrat\u2019 in Michigan)<\/strong><\/p>\n

Over there in\u00a0The Atlantic,<\/i> one finds this in a profile of El-Sayed during the recent Michigan Democrat primary:<\/p>\n

Were he to win, and then go on to defeat Mike Rogers, the presumed Republican candidate, El-Sayed would become the most fervently anti-Zionist senator. \u201cIf you want your politics dictated to you by AIPAC or Chuck Schumer, then I\u2019m not your guy,\u201d he said during a debate with Stevens \u2026 El-Sayed depicts Israel and its American supporters as the primary authors of Donald Trump\u2019s foreign policy. He also blames Israel and AIPAC for a wide array of domestic social problems.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

In short? In short, El-Sayed brings nothing new to the 2026 midterms with the exception of a decided antisemitism. A plain, old-fashioned hatred of Jews \u2014 whether those Jews are in Israel or here in America.<\/p>\n

There is a larger issue here as this Michigan Senate election unfolds \u2014 not to mention as the entire raft of midterm elections across the country unfolds.<\/p>\n

That would be the role of antisemitism in the larger Democrat Party. Here in my own state of Pennsylvania, Democrat Governor Josh Shapiro is running for re-election against the GOP\u2019s state treasurer Stacy Garrity.<\/p>\n

Governor Shapiro is Jewish.\u00a0 He is frequently mentioned as a potential 2028 Democrat presidential nominee. Are there Democrats in the Democrat base who will quietly not support the governor because he\u2019s Jewish? One finds this hard to believe. In fact, Pennsylvania, over the decades, has repeatedly elected members of both parties of the Jewish faith to major elective office \u2014 with names like Republican U.S. Senator Arlen Specter, past Democrat Governors Milton Shapp and Ed Rendell, as well as current Governor Shapiro. The bottom line here is that there should be no room for antisemitism \u2014 period. Whether in a Pennsylvania governor\u2019s race, a Michigan U.S. Senate race, or anywhere else in any other race for elective office anywhere in America.<\/p>\n

Which brings us back to the Democrat nominee for U.S. Senate in Michigan, one Abdulrahman Mohamed El-Sayed. The Democrat candidate is running for the United States Senate against the GOP\u2019s former Congressman Mike Rogers.<\/p>\n

Says Matt Grossmann in\u00a0USA Today<\/i> (Grossman, a political science professor at Michigan State University):<\/p>\n

Mike Rogers is definitely happy. \u2026 adding that not only do Republicans think they have ammunition against El-Sayed, but his candidacy has also exposed Democrats\u2019 inner-party rift over Israel and Gaza. El-Sayed, a fierce critic of Israel, has called the Israeli government \u201cevil.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

So there we have it. As per\u00a0USA Today<\/i>, the Democrat nominee for a Michigan seat in the U.S. Senate is \u201ca fierce critic of Israel, has called the Israeli government \u2018evil.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

All of which is to say, to pull back to the 30,000-foot level of political issues, antisemitism has risen through the ranks of the Democrat Party and is animating a Democrat candidate for the U.S. Senate.<\/p>\n

The obvious question?<\/p>\n

Will Michigan voters ratify this rise of antisemitism in the November midterm election? And is this antisemitism limited to the Michigan Democrat Party? Will it spread around the country? And will it become an issue in the 2028 presidential election?<\/p>\n
