Our nation\u2019s Founders didn\u2019t give timelines, but they did give warnings: Ben Franklin\u2019s \u201cA republic, if you can keep it,\u201d John Adams\u2019 fear of democratic self-destruction, and James Madison\u2019s warning about political divisions.<\/p>\n

Culture wars\u00a0are nothing new.<\/p>\n

The same fight over abortion, the family, and poverty has been waged since ancient Rome. Back then the Church was the lone institution with the courage to stand tall when society bowed. What has changed, Gruber argues, is how the Church and most Christians now conform and retreat from the prevailing culture.<\/p>\n

Gruber challenges Americans to reclaim what this nation once believed about human dignity and to live as if those beliefs still matter, provided we want a nation worth handing to our children.<\/p>\n

Bypassing a theatrical release, the documentary\u2019s filmmakers are focusing on church, campus, and community screenings throughout the country, while the book is available at all major book outlets.<\/p>\n

Gruber challenges the intellect, which is something that rarely occurs in a world overrun with memes and soundbites. History will judge us not by our intentions but by what we allowed. A nation cannot survive if it abandons the morality that once defined it.<\/p>\n
