I<\/span>n Wednesday\u2019s hearing of the Senate Homeland Security Committee, Republicans blasted Dr. Anthony Fauci, who failed to answer a single question. On the other hand, Democrats hailed Fauci as a hero of public health, a point of view found in a\u00a0laudatory exhibit in the Smithsonian\u00a0and a PBS\u00a0\u201cAmerican Masters\u201d documentary hailing Tony Fauci as a heroic\u00a0\u201cscientist and immunologist.\u201d<\/p>\n

If that leaves the American people confused, they might invoke witnesses not present in the hearing. In effect, by issuing a presidential pardon, Joe Biden confirmed that Dr. Fauci\u2019s is a criminal, but there\u2019s more to it.<\/p>\n

Dr. Fauci controlled public health policy and funding for medical research, a huge concentration of power, bolstered by nepotism.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n

In 2021, Biden joked, \u201cbut hey, look, who\u2019s the president? Fauci.\u201d At the time, the people had grounds to take that quip seriously. Dr. Fauci, whose\u00a0salary exceeded Biden\u2019s, exercised executive-level power with lockdowns, mandates, and so forth. As that all came down, one reality escaped notice.<\/p>\n

The president of the United States is the only official elected by all the people. Dr. Anthony Fauci, longtime director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) and a government bureaucrat for more than 50 years, never once stood for election. In fact, Dr. Fauci was never once confirmed by the Senate, so no term limit for the NIAID boss.<\/p>\n

The people might also consider the view of the late Angelo Codevilla, author of The Ruling Class<\/em>,\u00a0Informing Statecraft<\/em>, and other books. As a member of the Senate Intelligence Committee, Codevilla was one of the few to see everything the CIA wanted money for, so he became an expert on \u201cdeep state\u201d operators.<\/p>\n

\u201cI knew for sure that Anthony Fauci is a fraud after listening to him for about 10 seconds,\u201d wrote Codevilla, in a piece headlined \u201cFauci is a Deep State Fraud.\u201d Fauci\u2019s NIAID \u201chad partially financed the notorious Wuhan laboratory where Chinese scientists were researching the virus.\u201d That was true, but consider another witness on the scientific side.<\/p>\n

Nobel laureate Kary Mullis\u00a0invented the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test, a major advance in medicine and criminal justice. Mullis was on record that Anthony Fauci \u201cdoesn\u2019t understand electron microscopy and he doesn\u2019t understand medicine. He should not be in a position like he\u2019s in.\u201d Fauci never should have had the NIAID job, and the notion that he\u00a0represents science\u00a0is ludicrous.<\/p>\n

Kary Mullis, one of our brightest scientists, boasts no Smithsonian exhibit or PBS documentary. By contrast, Anthony Fauci, whose bio shows no advanced degrees in molecular biology or biochemistry, is the subject of government-sanctioned hagiography. That remains in place in the wake of Fauci\u2019s destructive record and presidential pardon for crimes Joe Biden declined to name. The NIAID boss also got preferential treatment from the media.<\/p>\n

Former CBS News reporter Brittney Hopper was pulled off the air because she dared to question Dr. Fauci. The establishment media served as Fauci\u2019s echo chamber, and long before\u00a0Covid,\u00a0the NIAID boss was adept at\u00a0cancelling the media appearances\u00a0of critics far more scientifically qualified than himself.<\/p>\n

Dr. Fauci controlled public health policy and funding for medical research, a huge concentration of power, bolstered by nepotism. Fauci\u2019s wife, Christine Grady, an NIH bioethics official, signed off on everything the NIAID boss wanted to do, including gruesome drug trials.<\/p>\n

For all but the willfully blind, Dr. Anthony Fauci is the face of white coat supremacy, an arrogant medical bureaucrat lording it over the people. His Covid regime was the closest the nation has come to totalitarian rule. Whatever Fauci\u2019s fate in the justice system, that must never happen again. The struggle against white coat supremacy is the struggle of memory against forgetting. The people will be watching.<\/p>\n
